10 Years On: The Persistent Ticketer
Dudes and dudettes, first things first:
- OMG, this blog still exists.
- OMG, my old blogger account still exists (though my blog does not) and I remember my password.
- OMG, the tag board still works.
- Yes, I'm still crazy.
Next: if anyone comes back to see this blog, do you still remember this?
... yeah.
You remember that little section in each of our personal pages that says, "Ten Years From Now"?
Guess what? It's the 10th year!
It kinda came back to me after my birthday passed this month, so I figured: why not? I'll start something.

My "10 Years From Now" box states:
"Looking at this baby photo and wondering what happened... and hopefully performing. Hopefully."
In the present:
... Imagine my surprise when I realised that I had gone one big round and come back to what that little box said I would do. Technically, I am semi-professional Spanish Dancer now; I teach it and perform on request. And from time to time, I get called up to do a little calefare work.
And yes, I do look at that baby photo and wonder what the hell happened to me.
Interesting events:
Job-wise: I went into insurance. I'm never going back; it was horrible for me, I'm just not suited for it. I went into events management, then taught drama to little pre-schoolers, and now I've started teaching dance, my own company. I also do copywriting and translation on the side.
Might be looking at teaching an overseas workshop soon:)
Played a little 90 year old woman in one of these mandarin musicals... might have been a little convincing; one of the on-stage band members came up to me before the last show and exclaimed that he really thought we had a little 90 year old woman on our cast (we didn't).
Watched a first-class Sarawak ballet reproduction of my grandmother's operetta... that was pretty cool!
From time to time, I write pseudo news reports about the trouble the house poodle gets up to.
Nowadays, instead of penciling in my poems in a little exercise book, I archive them online.
Oh goodness, I just realised how boring my life really is... there isn't much to talk about that actually involves me. But I'm quite happy with where I'm at right now:) And if my usual scheming goes well (it almost never does), it might get more interesting in a few years.
The Next 10 Years:
Well, given that my best laid plans so far all evaporated mysteriously, my new plan is quite simple: survive. And maybe be a little crazier; being safe didn't work too well for me :p should I have expected differently? XD

Dear SB2 peeps from ACJC,
Our long-awaited class party is finally coming soon!
This time round, the theme will be potluck mania, which essentially means each of you will bring a certain food/drink/dessert item for around 15 pax! =) You can bring almost anything under the sun... pizzas, fries, nuggets, chinese food, thai food, japanese sushis, sashimis, pies, cakes, puddings, anything you can think of!
Those who went to the last BBQ gathering will know that we have several great chefs-to-be in our class! hahaha! plus a few alcoholics too! LOL =D So I thought it would be a great idea to have a potluck party =)
Venue: david's condo (pandan valley) - games room. (call me if you get lost, i promise i'll pick up my phone!!)
Date & Time: 28th July 2007 (Sat evening), 7pm onwards
Activities: There'll be lots of games to play (for free) and yes, I will bring poker cards to play Indian poker! (Anyone interested to provide live music?)
**Please sms me what food/drink item that you will be bringing so I can make sure there's no double of the same thing =D
Special event: We'll be celebrating derrick's, anh's and sonia's birthdays altogether and also it will be a farewell (again) party for sonia who will be going back to USA in aug! =)
